I have made this pitcher of sangria twice this past holiday weekend – on Thanksgiving and then that very next day. It's that delicious. With four ingredients, this could not be easier to throw together, especially in a pinch for something good to drink around the holidays. The absolute key to this sangria is the Italian
Tuaca. If you are not familiar with the taste of Tuaca, {I wasn't either until just a few weeks ago!} it is a mild not-too-sweet liqueur that has subtle flavors of both citrus and vanilla. The 35% volume by alcohol was a little surprising once I tasted how delicious it is. It seems so much lower – and that's the danger of this sangria. This recipe calls for an entire bottle of Tuaca, so keep that in mind, the buzz will sneak up on you if you aren't careful. These are my favorite types of cocktails to drink. ...silent but deadly. LOL!
Ingredients:
2 24 Ounce Bottles Sparkling Apple Cider
1 750ml Bottle of Tuaca
2 Pomegranates, Seeded
2 Large Apples, Diced
Directions: Add the pomegranate seeds and diced apples to the bottom of a pretty pitcher or carafe. Pour in your sparkling apple cider sangria and Tuaca. Stir and enjoy over ice. Simple, easy and delicious!
Let me know if you try this one! It would be perfect for any holiday {or celebration!} cocktail table.
