Six {Thrifted} Things

May 9, 2011

It's no secret that I love shopping at thrift stores.  I almost forget what amazing pieces I've scored; tonight I took a bit of inventory, so I thought I would share a few recent purchases.

 {Multi-Strand Bright Beaded Necklace.  I am dying to wear this with stark white jeans, a crisp white top, a bright clutch and some nude heels this summer.}

 {Black Silk Blazer.  A true gem.  Basically, if it's silk and in the thrift store.. and fits me, it's coming home.}

{Bright Pink Acrylic Hoop Earrings.  A pop of color near the face is always a good idea.  I just think these are adorable!}

{Sweet little peanut butter colored leather handbag, trimmed in gold.  Let's face it, I do not need another handbag or clutch, but at $1.00, for a vintage little leather clutch for going out, I just couldn't pass this up.}

 {The formal section with all the beautiful cocktail dresses is always where I spend the most time in the thrift store.  I love examining the beads and crystals.  This beaded jacket will look fab with a pair of skinnies, a cute t-shirt, heels and a bright lip; perfect for going out for drinks with the girls.}

{Admittedly, this shimmery top, with the most adorable puffy shoulders, is a bit over-the-top.  I am almost afraid of it, but I know that with the right styling and worn to the perfect event, this can be an AMAZING statement piece.  I had to get it.}

I haven't been to the thrift store in over a month, I think it's about time to change that. :)

xoxo, thanks for reading!

  8. You found some versatile pieces. I can't wait to see you style them. I'm a big thrifter as well but took some time off. Then last week I had a urge to drop in. followed my thrifter's heart and found the best pleated pink and black skirt. A true gem :)

    My daughter and I have named the thrift stores, Hidden Treasure..lol Have a good day!
