{Royal Blue Dress ~ Forever 21 + / Animal Printed Cardi ~ H&M / Taupe Leather Booties ~ MRKT / Faceted Glass Bead Necklace ~ Express / Leather Handbag ~ Rachel Zoe for QVC / Multi Hoop Gold Earrings ~ Alfani via Macy's}
When I bought this bright blue dress, I immediately knew I wanted to rock the BRIGHT color blocking trend when I wore it. My HOT pink wide suede belt with maybe a yellow blazer. Unexpectedly, at the last minute, I decided to go the total opposite and pair this with neutrals, minimal jewelry and I just love the way it turned out.
It was 80+ degrees on Monday so I decided to get the hair off my neck and go with a messy top bun. Cory pointed out that I should do this more often; he loves it, which makes me love it even more. ;)
Admittedly, I was thinking I should have popped a belt on with this dress; it sorta looks like something is missing without one. Oh well, I will have all spring and summer to remix the styling of this baby and I'm excited!
xoxo, thanks for reading!
You look so nice! I love the way the blue looks with the animal print...perfect! I don't think you need a belt at all, this outfit is great!

How much do I love? LOTS!!!! You have made me kick myself for not ordering the animal print cardigan from Old Navy, today! I have a tiered INC skirt the same color blue and could have rocked it with the cardi. *runs to get Old Navy credit card* I must order it (if I am not over my credit limit *fingers crossed*)!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress...did you get it recently cause I want to go check out the nearest F21 for it lol I love that shade of blue : )

Love the bright royal blue with the fantastic animal print cardi. Can't wait to e the bright, bold color combo remix also.
ReplyDeleteYou are too fancy for words. The contrast of the color and print is amaze! I really, really regret not buying that bag!
ReplyDeleteI loveeee the oversized animal print of that cardigan. Looks great with the bright blue dress!
ReplyDeleteI never find such good finds in Forver 21. That dress...HOT!
ReplyDeleteI'm weak for anything paired pretty with my sorority colors! Where do you find your creativity? I would have never thought to put animal print with a primamry color from the other side of the spectrum, unless it was a pair of shoes or a skinny belt!
ReplyDeleteLove it! You're so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the hubby! I'm a huge fan of this hairstyle as well! I also love love love this blue dress! Its so springy & summery. I can totally see you colorblocking this! Cant wait

Love your hair...loving the blue! You look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS! A belt would add the "Lexy" signature, but you SO don't need it. The large print leopard is perfect against the cobalt blue. I love your hair like this too! Smokin!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!!! You look very pretty!! :)
ReplyDeleteyou are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI was in F21 and did not see this dress, you find all the cutest things. I like it paired with neutrals, that way the dress remains star of the show. Going shopping with Lexy is on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteOkay. You rock many a color, but I declare you do a li'l sumpin' to royal blue that I ain't seent befo' :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the oh-so-tousled'n such look?
Hursh.
I'm kinda glad you went the opposite way. I mean a yellow blazer and hot pink belt would be nice but then your yellow blazer wouldn't stand out against these gorgeous sunshine flowers! I love this look with blue and tan. It's one of my favourite colour combinations.
ReplyDeleteLove it as usual...the color is stunning on you:-)
