Fresh Golden Mango Margarita

August 5, 2020

I am a sucker for a good, icy cold, fresh, tart margarita and this one is PERFECTION! Sweet juicy mango, lots of tart fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and the most amazing unexpected sweet and salty rim. Come to think of it, I am sort of a margarita snob, actually. I know EXACTLY how I want my fresh shaken margarita, margarita on the rocks, and frozen margarita. And what I also know for sure is that they ALL have to have LOTS of fresh lime juice. Please don't ever mention the words "sour mix" in my presence. LOL!

Give me alllllllll the margaritas this summer, please!

Ingredients: (Per 1 Margarita)

For the Rim:
Zest of 1 Lime
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt

For the Drink:
2 Ounces Lime Juice {2 Limes}
2 Ounces Tequila
1 1/2 Ounces Grand Marnier
1 Ounce Mango Syrup { I used this one, by Master of Mixes it's AMAZING!}
Lime and Fresh Mango for Garnish

{^First things first, chill your glass by filling it with ice.  Set it aside while you make your drink.}

{^Make the sugar, salt, rim mixture.  Zest 1 lime and add it to small plate with the salt and sugar.}

{^ Mix well and set aside.}

{^Juice 2 Limes. They should yield about 2 ounces.}

{^Pour the ice from your now chilled glass into a cocktail shaker, being sure not to include any water from melted ice!}

{^Into the shaker with ice goes the lime juice, tequila, Grand Marnier, and mango syrup. Shake it vigorously for about a minute or so.}

{^Rub the top of your chilled glass with a lime wedge and dip it into the salt, sugar, lime zest mixture.}

{^BEHOLD! A perfectly rimmed glass! :)}

{^Pour your ice cold shaken margarita into the chilled, rimmed glass.}

{^Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh mango chunks. My gosh! Look how golden and beautiful it is!}

{^My mouth is watering. LOL! This margarita is tart and sweet and so flavorful and delicious! The lime juice goes perfectly with the mango.}

{...And that salt/sugar/lime rim is such an unexpected twist, this margarita is definitely a crowd pleaser!}

Go ahead and whip one up... or two! ...your taste buds will thank me later! :)

xoxo, thanks for reading and sharing!
