I feel so lucky to have had 8 days in the Caribbean on a cruise with Cory earlier this month. We rarely spend a night alone without the kids, so to have over a week to ourselves was really nice. I will admit that by day 4, I was missing I + C terribly and was ready to go home. We will not be spending more than 4-5 days without them again. For a while... or at least that is the plan right now. ;)
Day 5 was really tough, especially being on a ship and feeling so far away. Reading text messages from Isis crying for us broke my heart a little but I toughed through and tried to savor the moment ...and enjoy it. That wasn't hard to do at all: between the warm island breeze, the turquoise water and white sand that felt exactly like baby powder, we were in paradise. :) We also really enjoyed being with our family and friends. It was a fun week!
