Hot Pink Bows, Again!

June 23, 2011

{Lately, for some reason, anything navy blue in my closet jumps out at me when I am standing there at 6:15 am, trying to decide what to wear.}

{Pink, white and navy go beautifully together, don't you think?  Almost nautical but with a girly spin.  I just adore it.}

{I think I may be obsessed with these hot hot HOT pink suede bow flats.  They are so fun to wear.  When walking in the city to and from the train, I can see people's eyes immediately look down at my feet.  Yep, they are bright.  Just like I wanted them to be.}

{I almost didn't take outfit pics today.  Didn't think this outfit was worthy of a post... at first.  Whatever that means.}

{I quickly decided that I will take outfit pics and put these pictures on the blog.  Although this isn't a particularly special outfit, it's what I wore and my blog showcases my style, no matter the occasion. And I think it's adorable. Simple, yes, but still cute. :) Also, I got questions about this FUN green nail polish that I have on.  It's China Glaze ~ Four Leaf Clover. :) }

 {Today had to be the muggiest day of the year so far.  This cardigan was actually sticking to my arms.  I literally had to peel it away to show you this adorable pink top.  That is actually a bathing suit cover-up.  And it has a handkerchief hem that I safety pinned up, giving the hem a straight line, to be worn as a tunic.  'Making it work' is what I am all about.}

{You can't tell in these pictures, but these are actually seersucker pants. I don't remember them making the loud swishing noise that they made today with each step. It was quite annoying, but I dealt with it. :) I also ripped the hem out at the last minute this morning.  They were a bit too cropped for my taste.}

xoxo, thanks for reading my rambling. :)

  10. yup...these shoes are pretty much a TOTAL WINNER!! to be honest, i think you are the one that got me thinking "navy" while thrifting. i previously had NO bluish anything in my wardrobe and i'm slowly picking it up more. it's such a versatile color and less harsh than black. oh and what are you wearing on your lips???

  12. You have the best cardigans. Do you own more than 10? Just seeing if someone else has the same addiction :) This bedazzled top is lovely. The sleeves and asymmetrical cut at the bottom makes it POW even more.

  13. I love that you posted this outfit even though you second guessed it. You are absolutely right, this is about your personal style and I think it's dope that you even offered that up to us. The outfit, FYI is super cute! I really like the punches of color and how you made it work by ripping the hem and using safety pins on the top.
