Tie Dye

May 2, 2011

{Tie Dye Maxi Skirt {hiked up as a dress and pinned at the waist} ~ Hand Dyed, vendor in St. Thomas / Navy Linen and Silk Blend Blazer ~ Thrifted / Espadrille Wedges ~ Dolce Vita for Target}

This is one of my absolute favorite dresses to wear in the warmer weather... but with flip flops on the weekend.  Last week, when the temps were nice and warm in the 80's, I was immediately drawn to this dress -- even though I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to wear to the office.  And you know the golden rule when it comes to the dress code in the office: If you have to ask, the answer is probably NO!

BUT.. I was in a defiant mood and decided to wear it ANYWAY, even if I wasn't sure, lol! Besides, a blazer makes everything office appropriate, right? :)

xoxo, thanks for reading!

  2. Wow that dress is so pretty!

    It looks great with the blazer, It's not to bad for work, i think if you would have thrown on a closed toe shoe and stockings it would've fit work both. NONtheless, you look GREAT!

  18. This skirt/dress is adorable. I love long flowy maxi skirts. Although I own only one tie dyed piece. You've just saved all my summer dresses...heads to closet for a blazer. I got those wedges for my birthday and I absolutely love love love them.

  24. So clever! I tried a skirt as a dress and it just didn't feel right...that's because I didn't pin the waist! So smart.
