Winter Remix

January 6, 2011

 {Maxi Skirt ~ Daisy Fuentes for Kohl's, last seen here hiked up as a dress / Black T-Shirt ~ GAP / Black Cardi ~ Torrid {so old!} / Ivory Stretch Rafia Belt ~ Thrifted / Boots ~ Vera Wang / Faux Leather Moto Jacket ~ Dots}

Today was just one of those days where I did not feel like being bothered or fussing around with what to wear.  Not only has it been terribly difficult to get out of my warm and comfy bed everyday this week, I had no clue what I was going to wear this morning.  I usually at least glance in my closet the night before to decide what to put on the next day.  That did not happen.

Thank goodness for easy pieces like this skirt {that was originally a dress}.

I just adore the colors and the pattern!  I have worn it in the summer, fall and now winter.  Great transitional piece if you ask me. :)

I of course had to layer with tights underneath today.  ...and said tights are from HELL.  I don't know what brand they are {no tag}...just basic black tights that may be from Target, I am not sure, but they make the LOUDEST swishing sound with every step.  AND they were rolling down all day.  As soon as I walked in the door I yanked them off and threw them straight in the TRASH, lol!

Still loving this faux leather jacket from DOTS, even though it is by NO means warm at all. HA!  I was actually fine walking from the car into the office or the house.  Taking pics today was tough though, my upper body was freeeezing.  But I had to get the shots, right? ;)

I need to somehow stitch the sleeves on this jacket in place so that they stay "pushed up".  I actually prefer it that way at all times.  Should be easy to do, though I may enlist the help of a professional, I would hate to ruin it.

xoxo, thanks for reading!

btw, I know your a colorful polish lover and do your own manis...have you seen the new shatter OPI polishes?

    check it.

they look super fun! can't wait to get them!

  5. Yes the pics do look great, beauty is pain...sometimes, lol. Love the pattern on the dress and the faux leather jacket is cute.

I had to return a pair of faux leather leggings to Macy's because they made too much noise! They sounded like those old school wind-suits from the 90s, lol.

  6. I have a dress in the same print and I love it! You look amazing as always!

  7. Looking great! If you ask me, ALL tights are from hell. They are SO restricting and no matter what great quality they are and how much money I spend on them they always make me so uncomfortable! I'm thinking of ordering some from We Love Colors like a size or two too big just so they're more comfy. Haha. Either way, wonderful wonderful outfit!

  8. Very nice outfit! I really like your blog and your confidence!! Great post!

  9. The first time I saw you in that jacket I RAN to Dots to get one, but could never find one. I did get something simlar at Target and I love it. Thanks for the style inspiration.

How do you like your IPAD, I got one for Christmas and I swear I am having such issue with my wi-fi.

  10. Love the print on the skirt!!! I like the other ways you styled it also!

  11. I MUST have a jacket like that!

  12. So cute-I love that skirt on you Lexy!!!
