Happy School Year!

September 6, 2011

The first day of 3rd and 6th grade was a success!

We celebrated with a "Happy School Year!" dinner party. I made these Cheeseburger Flatbread Melts {they were insanely delicious} and a salad.  It was the perfect {and easy} dinner for a school night.

I also pulled out my vintage wine glasses and we made a toast, sipping pomegranate lemonade.  And no party is complete without balloons, right? It was cute seeing the kids' faces when they came in and saw that we were having a real party.

It was so much fun and Isis has asked if we could have a dinner party once a week.  I told her I'd see what I can do. :)

Off to take the first bubble bath of the season. xoxo, thanks for reading!

  22. Now honestly this is too cute! This is an awesome idea to excite the kids for the school year. I think your daughter brought up a great idea with having a party once a week. Maybe if they get a good report card or something like that, you can have a celebration for them. It's a great way to keep them encouraged. Also, you have a beautiful family! That's a blessing.
