Like A Gypsy

March 10, 2011

{Maxi Skirt ~ Daisy Fuentes for Kohl's, last seen here / Black T Shirt ~ Merona, via Target / Long Cardigan ~ Thrifted, was a turtle neck sweater, but I snipped it, as I explained in this post / Leather Belt ~ An old belt from a leather trench coat / Black Suede Boots ~ ASOS / Lucite Bangle ~ Thrifted}

..........

I felt like a Gypsy in this outfit. I think it was the combination of the flowy maxi skirt and the longer length on the "cardigan".  I couldn't help but sashay as I walked.

In one breath, I exclaim how TIRED I am of wearing boots and sweaters, but then I throw on an outfit like this and am happy that I still get to wear these comfy suede boots.  Not to mention, I have more sweaters to dig out and magically turn into cardigans.

I will never ever get tired of this skirt.  And any other maxi dress / skirt, for that matter. Love 'em!  I seriously have to stop myself from grabbing this on the mornings when I don't feel like fussing with pants. Which happens often.  I mean, what is easier than pulling on a skirt? ;)

Also loving this new bright berry lipstick by Black Radiance.  It's called "Sexy Siren" and I sorta just bought it because of the name.  I am good for that; such a sucker for fun nail polish and lipstick names... what is wrong with me?! LOL

xoxo, thanks for reading!

    This is why I love these fashion blogs. There is soooo much inspiration one can get from from fellow bloggers. I have a skirt similar to the one you are wearing I've never known how to wear it in winter. You have just gave me a great ideas as to how I can mix and match my wardrobe to wear the skirt in every season.

  14. There is absolutely nothing wrong with liking fun lipstick and nail polish names. Quirky names like "Kiss Me Silly" etc get to me everytime because it feels like there is a story behind it somehow. Enough of that and I agree it's so easy to slip into a skirt or a dress and even though pants are not that troublesome, I just feel impatient sometimes. I never managed to rock a long skirt well but we'll see if I can find out that I can look decent in. Long skirts to me are good alternatives for unshaven legs. Lol.
