Going Tribal

December 2, 2010

{Sateen Skinny Pants ~ Torrid / Tribal Print Tunic ~ Chelsae and Violet via TJ Maxx {I really think this is a dress, but more of a tunic on me} / Black T-Shirt under ~ Merona via Target / Blazer ~Vintage Oleg Cassini  / Handbag ~ Rachel Zoe for QVC / Shoes ~ MRKT {also seen here, via twitpic, in warmer temps} / Crystal Bracelet ~ Kenneth Jay Lane}

Hey there!  It's been 8 days since my last post; I guess it's safe to say I was taking a little break. :)

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  It is so hard to believe that it is December.  Soon to be 2011.  So unreal!

Whipped out the camera again on my lunch break to take pics today and it was FREEZING.  Seriously, my hands were so stiff from the cold and oh, my poor little toes.  I left the car running the entire time with the heat blasting, and it sure felt good getting in when I was done... to THAW OUT, lol.  Don't worry, I did also wear gloves and scarf {obviously not pictured}. ;)

This outfit was so randomly put together at the last minute this morning.  I knew I wanted to wear this pretty top, picked up while combing the sale racks at TJ Maxx.  I love the combination of colors and the tribal print.  I decided to pop on this vintage Oleg Cassini blazer, scored at a thrift store, of course - the color is so regal and I just adore the puffy shoulders.

Do you ever wear your "summer" shoes with tights?  I have been dying to try the look and just gave it a GO this morning.  And I sorta LOVE IT.  Such a funky look.  I am now racking my brain trying to figure out what other open-toed-out-of-season shoes I put away into the garage/storage that may work NOW for this sandals-and-tights-look.

Of course, hubby probably thinks I am insane and isn't a fan of this look at all. HA!

I will be back soon with more favorites. :)

xoxo, thanks for reading!

  2. Betcha by golly wow! I love that I saw you today and yet you still slay me with anuvva look! It took me a second before I even realized you were blazer-less when I saw you ... which is proof positive that somewhere Mr. Casini is smiling (alongside his muse, Grace Kelly).

    And the sateen skinny pant. Stelluh.

  4. Trust and believe we all have these crazy days. Just the other day my Hubs gave me the crazy eye when he saw me come out of the closet. I guess he thought I looked like a pile of mess, but I thought I was cute. By the end of the day, I had to admit I agreed with him. You, however, look amazing as always! I love the attitude in your last pic. Like, "WHAT?" lol

  8. I like that you took a dress and made it work as a way cute shirt, and the green blazer pulled it all together.

    The open toe shoes and tights is a new on for me, I stay cold so I've never tried it but maybe I should cause it looks cute.
